Applies to: Office 365 Desktop Applications (Office 2016 applications).
The cause is from the heartbeat licensing application for Office 365/Click-to-Run.
To confirm this is the cause of your bluescreens go to the Reliability Manager. Type in the search bar "Reliability" and select "View Reliability History". Under "Critical Events" you will see a entry for it.
- Open Word or Excel
- Click "Account" (lower right hand corner)
- Click "Update Options" and then "Update Now"
4. Once updated, restart your computer.
