Error: Exception thrown in destructor, when opening QuickBooks

When opening QuickBooks or starting Windows, you see:

Exception thrown in destructor (f:\dd\vctools\vc7libs\ship\atlmfc\src\mfc\winctrl2.cpp:1377) Encountered an improper argument.

How to fix it Click OK and ignore the message. The error does not appear to cause any problems with any features or functions of QuickBooks. Intuit is aware of this issue. There is no resolution at this time. Should this status change, additional information will be made available.
