Mac - Applications start to launch and quietly fail

On Mac computers, if the Mac isn't assigned a computer name, it can cause your applications to start to launch, but quietly close and fail.  Citrix has published a resolution to this problem that involves assigning a computer name to your Mac, and the steps to resolve it can be found here:
