Swizznet supports the Point of Sale Hardware bundle sold directly from Intuit.
When setting up your Point of Sale Cash Drawer you will need to configure it as follows so that you do not receive an error that the cash drawer is not found.
- On the local computer that the receipt printer is installed on, go into the printer properties and set the cash drawer to open before or after printing a receipt, whichever you prefer.
- In QB Point of Sale on Swizznet, within the Hardware Setup Wizard, do not setup a cash drawer.
Some newer versions of the driver for some cash drawers requires a different configuration. You'll want to set the device settings to match the image here:

A second alternative is to install the attached utility which will force the cash drawer to open when a user double clicks the icon. This utility will need to be installed locally. In the QB Point of Sale on Swizznet, within the Hardware Setup Wizard, do not setup a cash drawer.
