Migrating from RDS to Citrix

  1. Download and install the Citrix Workspace application:

When installing, leave all installer options with the default values.

  1. Accessing your Apps & Desktop:

There are 2 ways to access your resources.  Via a website or via the native Citrix Workspace app you previously installed.  The Citrix Workspace must be installed for both methods of access.

Website Access:  Navigate to the following site and log on with the same username and password you currently use:   https://ctx-i.visory.net

Citrix Workspace App:  The first time opening the app you will be presented with the option to add an account on the below screen.  Enter ctx-i.visory.net then click Continue to access your resources.  You will then be prompted to log on with the same username and password you currently use:

If logging in via the website, you will be presented with the Home page that displays recently used apps and desktops.  Since this is the first time logging in, you will want to click on the Apps (standalone apps) or the Desktops (full desktop experience) tab on the left side of the website.

One last consideration for any user that may have ThinPrint installed on their local computer, is it will need to be uninstalled because it will be configured for RDP rather than Citrix.  After uninstalling, if a user has any issues printing, they will want to download and install ThinPrint.  Windows users will want to ensure they select the below pictured option during the installation.  The newest ThinPrint clients can be downloaded here:

ThinPrint for Mac
