The insert key is a highly sought but rarely achieved function in the Mac without a specific keyboard to do so.
Fortunately we have a workaround using a mapper that requires little to no work.
To start off we're going to download the program Karabiner from here
Once installed we'll configure the settings to be as below
Applying these settings will allow the tilde key + control to be the Insert Key and allows functions such as Insert to be possible. We'll see the application at the top by our Wi-Fi if we ever want to close it down.
