Many of our Sage and private cloud customers utilize SQL on their server.
Here are some answers to frequently asked questions.
- Can we install SQL on Swizznet?
YES! SQL Standard or Express can be installed for you on you private cloud or Sage private cloud server. SQL Standard requires a monthly or per server license rental (our sales team can provide pricing for you). If your server required SQL at setup, it was installed as part of the base image. NOTE: We do not do any SQL configuration for clients. SQL configuration is done by the customer, software vendor or consultant. If you need to add SQL to your server, please submit a support request.
- Where do I find the SA password?
You can find a text file called SA password in C:\Software. We recommend that you select a new password and keep that in a secure location. Click here to find out how to change the SA password.
- How can I optimize my SQL database?

- Do you backup our SQL database?
Yes. We backup the entire server nightly and hold it for 30 days and we take a snapshot of your server and hold those for 7 days.
- How can I restore a previous version of our SQL database?
We would be happy to restore your database from backup or snapshot. To do this, please submit a support request and our engineering team would be happy to assist you
